OVERVIEW
Efficient Biosolids Management
Sludge screening is a large part of both the biosolids treatment process and the membrane bioreactor (MBR) process. With waste activated sludge (WAS) and surplus activated sludge (SAS), the excess debris and disruptive solids need to be screened out for the sludge to be effectively recycled and reused. Additionally, the periodic screening of recycled activated sludge (RAS) in the MBR process helps to improve the performance and operation of the MBR processes.
Sludge Screening Products
RotoSieve Drum Screens are an effective, efficient, and economical method to optimize the use of various sludges. Screening out excess debris and solids from sludge is easy with the RotoSieve.
Screenings discharged from the RotoSieve can be further dewatered and compacted using the Shaftless Screw Press. The press catches the screenings straight from the RotoSieve and compacts, dewaters, and transports it.
If transportation is the only concern for either screenings or dewatered sludge, the use of our Shaftless Screw Conveyor fits the job. The conveyor optimally transports screenings or dewatered sludge to another location where it can be disposed or can be used in other processes such as anaerobic digestion.
